The Price Tower is proud to announce the grand re-opening of Copper Restaurant + Bar after weeks of closure for renovation, reimagining, and new inspiration under the leadership of Chef Jimmy Sanabria. Chef Jimmy gained the coveted title after being selected among 170+ applicants from across the nation, and being chosen as top chef after a fierce two day cooking competition with five other competitors. Chef comes to Bartlesville from the Four Seasons in Dallas, Texas, although he is originally from Puerto Rico. The Wright Chef competition took place just weeks after Hurricane Maria made its catastrophic landfall on the island, and despite worry about his home, family and friends, he managed to keep focus to win, showing his tenacity and dedication to his craft.
The Wright Chef is the Culinary Artist in Residence program at the Price Tower. The organization has chosen to celebrate emerging artists and utilizes its unique architecture as inspiration for the artists who come. In addition to taking the reins of transformation and vision for Copper, Wright Chef Jimmy will live in one of the Price Tower suites for a year, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for anyone but especially so for an artist. Chef Jimmy has been preparing private dinners around the Bartlesville and Tulsa area in preparation for the reopening of the restaurant, and as practice for the staff who are taking close notes from this innovative culinarian who creates a fusion of art and food for each place he sets. He has created a menu at Copper to fit all budgets for lunch or dinner and offers vegetarian and gluten free options.
Copper reopens its doors to the public starting at 5pm on Saturday, January 27. Reservations are not required, however, they are recommended. Call 918-336-1000 for reservations or more information about hours.
