Children’s Events Rock During June 9-15 OKM Festival

BARTLESVILLE, Okla. (May 15, 2018) — Promoting youth music education drives the OKM Music mission, and the upcoming festival on June 9-15 delivers a variety of events for all ages.  “OKM Music offers seven days of children’s activities including storytime, magic and ventriloquy, puppets, art projects, line dancing with fun and crazy games and even a princess tea,” said Rose Hammerschmidt, director of Children’s Programming. “Expect the unexpected in a fun-filled week.” All children’s activities take place in Bartlesville. An RSVP is preferred for all free events. The Princess Tea requires a $10 fee and mandatory RSVP. Johnstone Ave., ages 6 and up, free.  Based in Bartlesville, Okla., with two performances in Tulsa, festival entertainment runs the gamut from a boot-stomping Country Fest and a relaxing Concert Under the Stars to the elite Chamber Series and the grand finale at Woolaroc. Festival artists include Brent Giddens Band, Lucas Hoge, Parker McCollum, Sons of Serendip, Miró Quartet, Katie Mahan, WindSync and the Tulsa Symphony Orchestra.  More children’s activities add variety to the Country Fest (face painting, bubbles, pony express), Concert Under the Stars (big board games, music wall), and Woolaroc (mini jail, watermelon bowling).  Festival concert prices range from $10 to $35 for general-admission tickets and $50 to $75 for VIP tickets.
