The talent has been booked and soon we’ll be blocking off the streets, firing up the smoker and tapping the kegs, all in preparation for the inaugural Baker Heritage Blues Festival in downtown Dewey on April 28. Michigan blues rock recording artist Rusty Wright will headline, following performances by Grapevine Travelers, Jennifer and Pete Marriott, and Dustin Pittsley Band.
Along with Blues staples, Brews and BBQ provided by the Heritage, there will be food trucks offering other tasty selections.
Between bands, make sure and spend some time visiting our Merchants and Vendors, conveniently located next to the seating area.
Named for local music legend Lennie Baker, a portion of the festival proceeds will be donated to The Lennie Baker Scholarship. The Lennie Baker Scholarship was created by friends and family of Lennie Baker and will be awarded each spring to an area high school music student that displays great leadership and community involvement.
This is an all age event, so grab your lawn chairs and bring the kids! Come for the whole day – 3 to 11 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults/$5 for kids.
