Monday, January 21, 2019 (Bartlesville, OK) – Price Tower Arts Center (PTAC) Board of Trustees and staff welcome Rick Loyd as executive director. Loyd succeeds Scott Ambler who served as executive director for three years and has recently returned to Ambler Architects full-time.
“On behalf of the Price Tower Arts Center Board of Trustees, we welcome Rick to the staff. Rick has previously demonstrated a unique passion and vision for Price Tower during his service on the board and as the chairman of the Wright Chef committee,” said PTAC board chairman, Brad Doenges.
Loyd joins Price Tower with 32 years of retail banking experience. He graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. “I am extremely excited and honored to assume this position and lead the momentum of so many great things happening at Price Tower,” said Loyd. “The dedicated staff are so knowledgeable and passionate about this incredible structure.”
“We would also like to express our deep appreciation to our former executive director, Scott Ambler, for his dedicated service for the past three years,” Doenges said. “His leadership and guidance have helped to position us for success in our mission to preserve Price Tower by inspiring new generations in art, architecture and design.”
Price Tower Arts Center in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, is the only fully realized skyscraper designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, a 19-story landmark completed in 1956 located at 510 S. Dewey Avenue. The ongoing mission of Price Tower Arts Center is to preserve the Price Tower, inspire artists and audiences, and to celebrate art, architecture and design.
