Pastor and Music Minister Will Headline the March ‘Third Monday’ Event


Highland Park Baptist Church pastor Mike Scrivani and Dan Cawkins, music minister,

will be the featured entertainment for the Third Monday Event on March 18 at Bartlesville First Baptist Church. The 2019 Third Monday agenda is a diverse one, ranging from a wide variety of musical groups to well-known local personalities.

The Third Monday event convenes with a meet-and-greet at 11:45 a.m. in the downstairs Fellowship Hall, followed by a $5 luncheon that includes homemade soup and an assortment of sandwiches plus dessert and choice of beverage. The speaker and music will follow.

According to Wade Daniel, Bartlesville First Baptist Minister of Music, the programs are geared to adults throughout the community, and open to everyone. Since lunch is served, reservations are needed. Call (918) 336-6172, then pay at the door day of the event.

Daniel noted that in addition to the monthy Third Monday events there are also two special events on the docket: A 55-Plus Banquet at 6 p.m. on May 10 in the church Fellowship Hall. Dinner will be “chicken and all the fixin’s.” Music will be provided by the Tulsa Praise Orchestra, a well-known professional group made up of musicians who profess faith in Jesus Christ and also love playing Big Band music.

There’s also time to sign up for another special event: A Pacific Coast Adventure set for July 29-August 8 through Village Tours. The trip will include the Portland, Oregon Rose Garden, Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum, Sea Lion Caves in Coos Bay, the Myrtlewood Factory and Redwood National Park as well as the Avenue of the Giants and Skunk Train ride through the Redwood Forest. Also the Charles Schultz and Walt Disney Museums in San Francisco, Monterey Bay Aquarium, and the Ronald Reagan Presidential library in Burbank, California.
