Big Brothers Big Sisters Back to the 80’s

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oklahoma BIG Event, Back to the 80’s (Bartlesville, OK) Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oklahoma in Bartlesville and Event Chairs Ford and Vanessa Drummond invite you to the annual BIG Event fundraising gala on Saturday, August 27 at Hillcrest Country Club, 6:00 PM. The 2022 theme for this fun event is “Back to the 80’s” and will be reflected in the menu, décor, and music of the evening. Attire for the evening is cocktail casual, or guests may dress as their favorite 80s celebrity. This totally awesome evening that will include a social hour, dinner, wine pull, 80s trivia, auction, and an After Party with DJ Chase Brake. Vanessa and Ford Drummond are honored to be this year’s BIG Event Chairs. Ford and Vanessa have lived In Bartlesville for 24 years and are the proud parents of Virginia, Frederick Russell, and Margaret. Ford Is a fourth-generation cattle rancher In Osage County where his family settled before statehood. This year he Is serving as the President of the Osage County Cattleman’s Association and has served previously as the Chairman of the OK Water Resources Board and the OK Nature Conservancy. Vanessa was a stay-at-home mom while their children were younger and has dedicated herself to volunteering with the public schools, including serving as president for various Parent Support Groups, a member of the Bartlesville School Board, and home room mom. She Is currently Vice Chair of the Bartlesville Education Promise, which helps local kids reach the goal of high school graduation. Vanessa says, “Through my work at the public schools, I know how many children around us are truly struggling. Ford and I recognize the Importance of providing stability and support for these children through a mentoring relationship. We hope that our community will continue to generously support the mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters, whether financially or as mentors!” Sutterfield Financial Group is the Presenting Sponsor for the event.
