Learn About Birds, Origami and Cherokee Storytellers

Free unless attending Saturday dinner

Friday night:

6:30-8:30 Come and Go Meet and Greet at Bartlesville Hilton Garden Inn

If interested we will have some Wingspan Games going

Saturday morning:

7:00 am (Field trip- Pathfinder along the Caney River) meet at the Pathfinder off of Shawnee, behind Bartlesville High School/ (Jimmy Woodard, Dan Reinking,/ Mark Peterson)
If you are not sure about where the trail head is please meet and be ready to go at 6:45 am at the Bartlesville Hilton Garden Inn

7:30 to 10:00 Demonstration of mist netting and banding birds (Come and Go) This will also be along the Pathfinder (Joe Gryzbowski)

Sutton Center Activities with 10:00 am and 2:00 pm start times (Please use the given link to sign up as these are each limited to 30 participants)

Children’s activities up close and personal with some fun birds and birding activities for children (Daniel Harris/ RebeccaRenfro)

Adult Activities includes a tour of the Masked Bobwhite Quail breeding facility.(Please do not plan to tour this facility if you handled any birds in the morning due to the risk of Avian flu infection.)

Lunch is on your own

1:00 -2:15 pm or 2:15-3:30 Story telling and origami activities for ages 4 through adulthood (Bartlesville Public Library) Each session limited to 20 on first come basis (Mae Dean Erb, Cherokee citizen)

3:30-5:00 Oklahoma Ornithological Society Board Meeting

6:00-8:00 Dinner and Stories from Cherokee Citizen Greg Bilby (Crossing 2nd)

All activities are free except the dinner event.
