Women Artists of The West Return to Oklahoma

Several of the ladies will also be painting throughout the area on Sunday, May 14th. Watch for the artists in downtown Bartlesville, at Tallgrass Prairie Preserve, and at several other locations in Bartlesville and Pawhuska. They always enjoy a visit from art lovers. Looking down the road, WAOW members are very excited and honored to be hosting an Invitational member’s art show at Woolaroc in 2024.

The national organization, Women Artists of The West (WAOW) will be gathering again in the Bartlesville/Pawhuska area this spring for a “plein air” (French for open air) painting event and social. Originally founded in California in 1971, the group has expanded to include professional artists from around the country working in both the Western genre and otherwise. Members of WAOW must be juried into this group, which includes some highly regarded pros from the national art arena.
